Yoga for Kids – (rotating) at Mind Body Yoga
“If every eight-year-old in the world is taught meditation, we will eliminate violence from the world within one generation.” These words from the Dalai Lama have been an inspiration to teachers and families to take yoga for children seriously. Children are our future and it is imperative that we teach them to develop awareness and centered presence. I’ve never met a child who didn’t want to make the world a better place when they grow up. In our children’s yoga and meditation class our goal is help kids learn they have the power to be the change they wish to see in the world and help them see that by starting with themselves, they can make a powerful positive impact in the world, and they don’t have to wait to be grown up to start! Classes will be kept fun and lighthearted, often including games, music, stories, and laughter.
